The Kaurare Village Project in Wurno LGA was a community-driven initiative focused on improving health, environment, and livelihoods. JCDI supported local groups in organizing sanitation campaigns, tree planting activities, and health promotion events.

The project empowered villagers to take ownership of their development by forming community associations tasked with environmental cleanliness and health advocacy. Through JCDI’s support, they received training and materials for sanitation, such as brooms, rakes, and tree seedlings.

In addition, the project encouraged collaboration between local leaders, health workers, and volunteers to ensure that the entire community benefited. By combining environmental sustainability with health awareness, Kaurare became a model for grassroots-led development.

This project underscored JCDI’s philosophy of working hand-in-hand with communities to foster sustainable change, rather than imposing top-down solutions.
