JCDI contributed to the Better Education Service Delivery for All (BESDA) project by training facilitators in Isa and Gwaranyo LGAs. The initiative targeted children in non-formal learning centers, particularly those who had been excluded from the formal education system.
The training equipped facilitators with skills to deliver literacy and numeracy education in flexible, learner-friendly environments. Emphasis was placed on inclusive education, gender sensitivity, and strategies for engaging children who had dropped out of school.
Beyond academic content, facilitators were trained to provide psychosocial support, ensuring that children saw education as both beneficial and safe. Parents and communities were also engaged to encourage school attendance and reduce dropout rates.
This project reinforced JCDI’s role as a trusted partner in the education sector, bridging the gap between formal systems and marginalized learners. By strengthening local teaching capacity, it created a sustainable foundation for inclusive education.
