Construction of Health Post / Clinic (Tabanni Village)

Recognizing the absence of healthcare facilities in Tabanni Village, Gada LGA, JCDI mobilized the community to construct a health post/clinic. This initiative ensured that residents, who previously had to travel long distances for medical care, gained access to basic health services within their locality.

The project involved both physical construction and capacity building. Local artisans and community members contributed labor, while JCDI provided technical guidance and mobilized resources. The facility was designed to cater to maternal and child health needs, as well as general outpatient services.

By reducing barriers to healthcare access, the Tabanni clinic improved early disease detection, maternal care, and vaccination uptake. It also created a hub for future health interventions, ensuring long-term benefits for the community.

This initiative highlighted JCDI’s ability to blend infrastructure development with community participation, ensuring both ownership and sustainability.
